Musab Osman
PhD Researcher
University of Strathclyde
Musab Joined CMAC in 2021 to pursue a PhD in pharmaceutical formulation. His research interests focus on combining experimental and predictive mathematical models to design robust pharmaceutical formulations. Musab’s project aims to develop models to predict the strength and porosity of directly compressed pharmaceutical powders, including understanding the influence of strain rate and additional surface modifying components such as lubricants.
Musab is a registered pharmacist in Sudan and has gained over three years experience in pharmaceutical industry. He first joined CMAC to complete the MSc in Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, conducting his research project on antisolvent-cooling crystallisation with Novartis in CMAC and graduated in 2019.
