Samantha Meechan

Sam joined CMAC in August 2024 as the CDT Engagement and Outreach Officer, where she manages industry relationships, coordinates PhD research projects and placements, and organises outreach events for the CEDAR CDT in Cyber-physical Systems for Medicine Development and Manufacturing.
Sam has been with the University of Strathclyde since 2018, initially working in the Engineering Faculty office before becoming the centre administrator for Health and Care Futures, an institute focused on medicines innovation, health technologies, data analytics, AI, and the workforce. She also has experience in project management, engagement, and outreach, having worked with the Outreach and Public Engagement team in the Research and Knowledge Exchange Directorate as a Projects Assistant. As part of the Public Engagement team, she supported University flagship programmes of events aimed at the industry and public sectors. Sam also holds a BA in History from the University of Strathclyde which she obtained in 2017.
