Aruna works within the CMAC National Facility to provide technical and operational support for researchers working in the CMAC labs. She is also involved in delivering academic and industrial projects, managing equipment, and supporting industry engagement with the Tier 1 partners.

Aruna completed a Masters degree in Chemistry with Industrial Training from the University of Warwick, which included a year working at Pfizer in the Structural and Separation Sciences group, followed by a PhD in Chemistry at Durham University specialising in mass spectrometry. She joined CMAC in 2019, initially working as a research associate within the Advanced Materials Characterisation team of the National Facility.
