CEDAR is an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Cyber-Physical Systems for Medicines Manufacturing offering prestigious studentships designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in pharmaceutical innovation, equipping you with the skills to deliver medicines to patients faster, more sustainably, and cost-effectively. With access to our state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll work with cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, and augmented reality.

Studentships are primarily based at the University of Strathclyde, with additional opportunities at the Universities of Sheffield, Leeds, and Imperial College London. As part of this cohort-based programme, you will benefit from multidisciplinary training, engage in impactful research, and build a lifelong network of peers and industry experts.

We welcome candidates with degrees in chemistry, physics, pharmaceutical science, material science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, data science or similar disciplines.

Our studentships cover your tuition, research and training costs, industry placements, travel, and a tax-free stipend of £19,237 annually for four years. Home fee eligibility includes UK and Irish nationals, those with settled/pre-settled status, or indefinite leave to remain.
